THE 2008 KOTEI SEASON IS ONE OF THE MOST PIVOTAL in recent memory. The Kotei season has always had great influence on the story, from choosing to support an Emperor or a Shogun, to the chance of a Khan to sit upon the throne of Toshi Ranbo. Yet this year we see each Clan with its own chance to put one of their own on the throne. This season sees us draw closer to the finale of The Race for the Throne, and every event is important. As the Clans scrape points in the various spheres, each Clan also fights to secure tangible advantages against the other Clans.

This will be one of the darkest times in Rokugan. The Empire may well not survive the stress of each Clan falling to their desires. Alliances that have stood for years waver on the brink as the Champions and throne candidates of those Clans see the Imperial Throne within their reach. Now, more than ever, your Clans need you to step up and fight. Win tournaments, play in the online competitions, and wear your Clan garb. Whatever you do, do not let your Clan fail.
