Blood runs from a darkened sky, and the Moon has fallen under the strike of an ancient blade…
Otosan Uchi, the city of the Emperor, lies crumbling and weary on the edge of a storm-tossed sea. Within its walls, an Emperor sits upon his Jade Throne, murmuring of shadow and loss. Outside the city, the armies of the Unicorn and the Scorpion mass to destroy the man they call “Usurper,” but in the Dragon Mountains, one sword shatters a thousand years of tradition and fear. Onnotengu has been destroyed, Amaterasu has fled the heavens in grief, and the gate to Jigoku has been all but destroyed. From the pits of the Shadowlands come horrors untamed and unrestrained: even the Kitsu, once noble shugenja, have fallen to their power. Only the Naga seem to hold a shred of hope in the darkly shadowed Empire.
An Age of Heroes begins beneath the last, dying light of the fallen Sun.
The Kitsu Tombs:
Banners, tattered and fallen, wave sorrowfully from the high towers of the noble Lion. Tsanuri’s forces on the Crab Wall wage war against an ancient enemy, but at home the Kitsu must deal with demons to keep themselves alive. Now their debt must be paid, and the price will be the blood of all they hold dear.
The New Akasha:
As the sky grows as red as blood and as black as pitch, the Pale Eye of the Moon is destroyed. Chaos shadows the land, and the earth shakes with terrible upheaval. Yet in the Empire’s darkest hour, the secrets of the Naga may hold a final hope: one man stands among the serpent-lords, a hand of jade lifted at their side.
The Spawning Ground:
Out of the writhing, tortured darkness and pits of Jigoku, terrible Oni crawl, their mad laughter shredding the bones of the dead. The bonds that once held the monsters at bay are shattering, lost to the Shadow. Crushing the bickering clans of the Empire, they do not rise to subjugate and rule Rokugan: they march to destroy it.
